Attorney Philip John Gold is a native of Orange County having been born in Fullerton and having lived in Orange County for all of his life other than the period he attended college and served in the armed forces.
Mr. Gold received a Bachelor of Science degree from what is now known as the Haas School of Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley, and his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California.
He has previously served on the boards of a number of civic and philanthropic organizations including the former South Coast Child Guidance Clinic in Costa Mesa, The Cultural Groups Foundation in Fullerton, The Chamber Music Society of Laguna Beach, and the Orange County Mental Health Board.
He is a member of the State Bar of California, The Trusts & Estates Section of the State Bar of California, The Orange County Bar Association, The Trusts & Estates and the Elder Law Sections of the Orange County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Orange Coast Estate Planning Council. For a number of years, Mr. Gold was a member of panels providing continuing legal education in the area of Estate Planning and Elder Law and was a former chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Orange County Bar Association and for several years was a Orange County Bar delegate to the annual California State Bar Convention.
He currently volunteers at the Oasis Senior Center in Corona Del Mar, providing complimentary legal counseling to Orange County seniors. He also has an "AV" rating* in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, the highest rating available.
